About Us
Well where do we begin.... we met through a friend, had coffee, talked the afternoon away (well Em did, Fred just sat and politely listened) and the rest just kinda happened. We never expected what follwed....
It all started with a Christmas vacation to Canada, where we had the most amazing trip. On our return and with the holiday blues hitting Em hard, she somewhat jokingly suggested to Fred that we should give up everything, buy a campervan (RV) and go travelling. A chance to get away from the rat race, leave the hustle and bustle of busy roads, endless noise and the depressing cycle of eat, sleep, work, repeat, where everyday became the same. Foolish, maybe, but Fred agreed!
So, in the spring of 2024 we bought 'Wanda' our Toyata Hiace long wheel base camper, kitted it out and put all our household belongings into storage - no mean feat! We quit our jobs and took to the road on an unknown charter of discovery. Our new life adventure had begun.....
With Wanda we were lucky enough to travel throughout the UK and parts of Europe for a year. During this time we experienced sadness and loss and had to re-think our travel plans, especially when Em was unexpectedly quite ill - but what an adventure we had been having!! Then an opportunity to move to the USA opened for us, so in March 2025, we sold Wanda, shipped all our belongings and began our new life adventures stateside.
Now is the USA, we have 'Wanda2' a 2022 Cross Trail 20XG Coachman RV and so our adventures continue, alongside now being home-owners too!!

Fred.... wrong side of 60 but still very young in body and soul with a penchant for wanting to explore and get the most out of life!! American born, but raised in the UK since early childhood. Proud father to 3 talented lads, passionate about boats, steam trains, Jack Russels & Otters! Also has a big interest in renewable eco technologies and self sufficient living. He also is mechanic, eletrician and plumber when needs must.

Em.... x-workaholic and keen long distant walker, mother to two beautiful boys (of course she is biased!) Free spirited soul who has a huge zest for fun and adventure. Feels most at home surrounded by nature - woodlands, mountains and waterfalls. Thanks to her dad she has a passion for Cacti & Succulents, and quite the collection of inherited model trains to play with, Oh! and enjoys the odd steam train visit too.
