After a pretty decent night sleep - admittedly bringing the ear plugs was a really good idea - forgetting to turn off the early morning alarm wasn't so clever, but we woke up relatively refreshed.
Breakfast done, Fred turned to look at the wheel issue - it would appear one of the new rear brake pads had been put on the wrong way round. Apparently, unlike most brake pads where there is only one way to put them on, these ones didn’t - luckily an easy fix and no damage to the pads or disks.
Whilst he did the repair work I went off exploring on foot. I had managed to find a small but decent waterfall in Letort Falls Park just 9 minutes walk from where we'd parked last night, so decided to go take a look and have a quick walk around the area to stretch my legs and enjoy the countryside as it was a beautiful day.
Vehicle problem fixed, we are back on the road to our next destination and I had found us a lunchtime treat of a place, Casey Jones Restuarant at The Red Caboose Motel & Restuarant. This place is awesome!! You eat in a old railroad restaurant car, and the motel consists of 30 caboose train cars, alongside other train themed buildings!! The food itself was super tasty, reasonably priced and there is also a nice gift shop.
Afterwards we visited the National Toy Train Museum, which is right next door. OMG this place is AMAZING!!! So many model trains and lots of buttons to press to watch things move on the various train layouts. The staff were super friendly and incredibly helpful too, but we didn't get to see everything as it was late in the day and there is just so much to see, so will have to make a return visit tomorrow.
Tonight we had booked a pitch at the French Creek State Park campground, though we didn't get any time to really appreciate the beauty of the park and area. At $54 a night all inclusive, this is a nice state park with good facilities, plenty of hiking trails too.
Road Trip Day 2 - Today we did aprox 97 miles
